I was contacted this week to do a private storytime for a local elementary school’s Headstart program. I borrowed from the cow themed storytime we had earlier this semester and the kids made the cow puppets again. However, I thought you might want to see the books and songs we did for this storytime!
Toddlers: No Toddler books for this group
- Farm Animals by Nancy Dickmann (This non-fiction book explores different animals found on the farm and what their jobs are.)
- Click, Clack, Moo: Cows that Type by Doreen Cronin (This funny story is about a group of literate cows who use a type writer to communicate their demands to the farmer.)
- Rooster Can’t Cock-a-Doodle-Doo by Karen Rostoker-Gruber (What happens on the farm when Rooster can’t wake everyone up because of a sore throat?)
Cow Puppets: Repeat craft…See “Udderly Good Books” storytime from February
This lesson plan is free and you have my permission to use it all you want. I just ask that you give me a little love by crediting me on any blog or social media post. Thank you!
