I was contacted this week to do a private storytime for a local elementary school’s preschool program. They just got finished visiting the Natural History Museum and we decided to do a Dinosaur themed storytime for them!
- How Do Dinosaurs Say I’m Mad? by Jane Yolen (Everyone gets mad, but how can we calm down?)
- The Three Little Dinosaurs by Jim Harris (This entertaining new take on the popular Three Little Pigs fairytale shows kids what happens when you pick on the little guy)
- When Dinosaurs Go to School by Linda Martin (Great for comparing and contrasting a common school day)
Using playdough and plastic dinosaurs, kids made their own fossil and dinosaur tracks!
This little egg puppet is simply a foam cut out on an egg glued onto a clothes pin.
The baby dino head is a half circle with eyes drawn on. I use it with the “Dinosaur Egg” song!
This lesson plan is free and you have my permission to use it all you want. I just ask that you give me a little love by crediting me on any blog or social media post. Thank you!
