Music Morning: Under the Sea

Hello!  It’s been a while since I posted.  I’m afraid I was a bit overwhelmed with the summer reading program this year and something had to give.  So, I took a brief hiatus.  I do hope you will forgive me!  My programs are back in full force this week.  I will post about Storytime tomorrow, but for today I wanted to share the Music Morning program I *literally* just stepped out of. (I am still trying to cool off as I type this!)

Music Morning is a toddler based program which allows for 1:1 time with the child and their caregiver as they experience a musical storytime.  We always read a book based on our monthly theme, explore a particular instrument (with suggestions for parents on what they can do affordable at home) and have time to dance!  At the end we cool off with a snuggle session where I play soft music and the parents and children read books together.  The entire program takes less than 30 minutes and everyone enjoys it!  Here’s what we did this month:

Music Morning Lesson Plan

As people come in, have them sign in, remove shoes and find a spot on the floor…should be in a large circle.
