Summer Reading Displays!

Hello, everyone!  Summer Reading is now upon us at the library!  I wanted to share a few of the displays I have put up this year!  Our theme is “Build a Better World” and is centered around construction and LEGO.  This was a fun theme to decorate for–all though I have been super tired this spring/early summer and unable to do as much as I would have liked.  I think we are off to a good start though!

While I really like the way all of them turned out, this is my favorite:

Let me explain:  I do a lot of my shopping in the Dollar Tree.  (You have to really stretch those bucks, after all!) And I was beyond excited to find these sand molds on my last trip!  They are different famous structures from around the world!  You have the Leaning Tower of Pisa, , the Great Pyramid of Egypt, the Eiffel Tower, and the Sydney Opera House!  So, I made an interactive book display with them!  The names of the structures are listed on the inside.

It pays to think outside of the box!  Keep your eyes open and your creativity flowing!  You never know what you may find!
